Why Are You Still Suffering From Anxiety? Say No To Stress And Take Back Control Of Your Life!
Anyone can easily be swept over by stress. While some stress in a necessity and unavoidable, if not kept in check or relieved in some way your stress can and will lead to anxiety.
There are many causes of stress. It is a very perceptual thing. What causes stress for one individual does not necessarily cause stress for a different individual. One cause that looks to be on a lot of sufferer's lists is finances. Predominantly when they're going through money issues. It is incredibly common for someone to feel anxious when they're in debt.
So, if you want to preclude the anxiety linked with financial stress, don't go into debt. Regrettably this bit of advice is too late for countless people that have ever increasing debt and intensifying anxiety. Here's what you can do for starters. Set up a budget. Yes, the dreaded "b" word. In this budget you will include crucial expenses with one addendum - an emergency fund.
You will be able to pay off your debt quicker and become aware of a tapering off of the anxiety levels, if you stick to that budget. Imagine the relief and the overwhelming sensation of pride once all your debt is wiped out. Not to mention the absence of the anxiety.
Another cause of stress is working too much. Both you and your family can suffer due to the long hours at work.
Set up some rules regarding your work to help change this. During the time at work leave your personal life at the elevator bank. Pick it up when you exit and vice versa. When you leave work don't take any part with you. Make it a rule not to think about work outside of the workplace. When you're with your family, give them your exclusive attention. They merit it.
Another stressor for may individuals is their inability to say "no". It can be rather stressful to say yes to everyone who asks for your help. When you say yes to too many people who ask, you end up not taking care of yourself. It's alright to say no now and again. Assist others when you are able, but don't go overboard.
Confine your aid to one soul at a time. Be careful of those that are abusive in their demands for help. Family and friends included. Teach them to aid themselves. It is absolutely OK to expect something from them in return. That will also empower the soul you are aiding.
Take on one issue at a time. You can very easily succumb to stress if you spread yourself too thin. It's okay to recognize your limitations. Don't over extend yourself.
There are many things that cause stress. Take inventory of your life and see where your stress originates from. Then take deciding action to thin that stress. You may have to change some habits, you may even have to change how you perceive things. Lessening your level of stress should take priority in your life.
