CD - DVD Art Design and Printing
In todays market you have the ability to customize just about everything that you can imagine.
Custom products are in every household and include furnishing, clothing, artwork, sound systems, video systems, cookware, and of course, CD's and DVD's.
Anything that can be put into digital format can now be "burned" onto a disc.
Now you can choose what songs you want, what video you want, and you can even customize the look of the disc itself, including the cover and presentation of the product.
If, for example, you were to produce an incredible information product you could start with an audio file, have it burned to CD, create a design for your product, have that printed on the disc and have the same design printed for your CD cover.
A total design package that is attractive and becomes your Brand. You can even use the same design on your printed materials inside your information product.
There are hundreds of companies online that will help you to produce your product, from conception to the end result. Many of these companies offer top quality workmanship and you will find them easily, by doing a simple search online for, "custom CD's".
Some companies, such as IBM, even offer tutorials for each step.
The hardest part most people face is the design and artwork. Almost all of the companies that we researched offered the ability to take your design and print it on your product. All the printing is done off a digital image.
Creating your own image for printing is not as difficult as it may appear.
The internet is a place of a million options and finding quality images in digital format is an easy task.
First, think of what you want to say with your product and how it may be presented in a way that looks professional, has impact, is attractive, and shows your brand. What colors are a part of your overall company, what image defines you, what makes you different, and what is your product message. If you are using images on your products then you are branding yourself with color, form and shape.
Next, search for clip art. There are thousands of images that are available to you and online they are all in digital format. You can find a wide variety of free clip art and if you want to use some unique design, there is paid clip art also available.
You can also find quality artists that will create your design, help you with color, and make your product look it's absolute best, but they are going to ask to be paid for their creative talents.
Although there are printing options, I recommend using the least expensive of the higher quality resources. There is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on design and printing when most everything is available to you at reasonable rates if you just take the time to search.
Stay away from screen printing for CD's because the setup and design is costly. You will find that you can get the same results using the standard in house printing service, available from where you get your CD's content burned. If your image can be put into JPEG, or similar, format then it can be readily transferred to your product.
All in all, you have many options for putting high quality finishes on your CD's, as long as you are willing to check out the resources. All the companies that provide professional CD transfers also offer packaging options that include printing.
Prices range from $1.86 per disc to as much as $5.00 per disc. That includes burning your data and printing both on the disc and doing your covers and packages.
There is a ton of good competition so check it out until you find what works for you. Printing and creating images does not have to be a chore because there are a lot of people that are there to help if you ask them for it.
Remember that packaging is a huge part of your business image, so it will be to your advantage to be selective and choose your packaging option carefully.
